The Provincial Court of British Columbia is the first level of court in our province. This is where most Criminal Cases are dealt with.
The Provincial Court sits in communities throughout BC, including numerous locations in the Lower Mainland such as Vancouver, Surrey, Richmond, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, New Westminster, Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Our Vancouver Criminal Lawyers appear regularly in all of these locations.

Decisions of the Provincial Court:
Select judgments of the Provincial Court can be found on the Judgment Database. Vancouver Criminal Lawyers use this database as well as private subscriptions databases and legal texts to locate analogous decisions to determine how to best defend their clients and to ensure that the judge understands the state of the law.
BC Court of Appeal and Supreme Court Judgment Database:
Decisions of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court must be followed in the Provincial Court of BC. The Judgment Database encompasses all Court of Appeal decisions and select Supreme Court decisions.
CanLII:
A non-profit organization which maintains a search engine that provides access to a number of judgments of courts across Canada.
Criminal Code Online:
The Federal Department of Justice publishes the Criminal Code of Canada online with regular updates.
British Columbia Legislation:
The British Columbia government publishes official and regularly updated versions of BC Statutes and Regulations at the new BC Laws website.
